Website Update

We're in the middle of a website update:

• I just loaded up 4 months worth of Grapevine articles for your reading enjoyment.
• I'm working on updating the Google calendar - something I haven't done in far too long.
• I'll be adding pictures from VBS & Dangerous for Good (Kids Camp) later today.

And, in "look at how 2008 we are!", I've hooked up a Twitter account to the website... you can access us on Twitter (and get mobile phone updates) at NewLifeEaston.

Some "wish list" things:

• More folks posting & commenting here...
• Linkage to NewLife online ministry (like the Facebook Bible study)
• keeping up with this personally rather than letting it slide (sorry, guys... hound me with emails & Tweets if I blow it!)

The Week That Wasn't

You are correct - we (well, I) missed a week of "This Week @ NewLife" - it's not that we closed down for the week, though. I was up at Mid-Valley Association's Childrens Camp along with 3 great counselors (Tina B, Aaron SS & Josh B) and 19 kids.

Over the next week or so, I'll be adding more pictures here from Vacation Bible School and Children's Camp - as well as getting back on some kind of schedule with the Grapevine.

Meanwhile, sorry about the temporary blackout!

Google Maps Street View

This is one of those "just kinda cool" things... using the Google Maps tool Street View, you can virtually "drive by" and take a look at NewLife Community Church.

Here's how to do that:

1. Click on http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&safe=off&resnum=0&q=new%20life%20community%20fresno%20church%20ca%20lincoln&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl which will take you to Google Maps
2. The first church listed there is NewLife Community (Easton) - yippee! Click on the highlighted name of the church.
3. That will bring up a "word bubble" - which is the fancy name for how characters speak in comic books - which has a variety of different things you can click on. What you want is "street view".
4. Once you do that, you have the option to enlarge the screen, tilt the camera angle, zoom in & out... all very, very cool.

I'm guessing these pictures were taken about a year ago... while we were still doing site prep work for the new office building. (You can see the dirt being moved - but there's no slab... and across the street, the grapevines are green.)

Under Construction

It's been a long time coming... but the NewLife website is finally up & rolling again.

Our apologies to everyone who has suffered through the utter uselessness of the "website coming soon" splash screen for way too long.
